Future District Projects

In February 2008 the Bennett Parks and Recreation District submitted a grant proposal to Adams County Open Space for a Regional Aquatics Facility to be built as an addition onto the Bennett Recreation Center.  In June of 2008 the Bennett Parks and Recreation District was awarded a 1.5 million dollars towards the construction of the Aquatics Facility.  The grant will cover the construction of the main building and swimming pool.

Additional grant monies will be sought to complete the entire project.

The completion of the current recreation center in October of 2007 was just the first part of a two part project that would be completed with the addition of the Proposed Pool Facility.  The indoor pool will be a welcome addition to the residents of the I-70 corridor and a much needed amenity to the Easter portion of Adams County.

Proposed Pool Addition

The proposed pool addition includes a junior sized Olympic swimming pool with a zero depth entry, a separate tot swimming pool also including a zero depth entry,  a aqua therapy pool, and steam and sauna room.

Swimming Pool

The proposed swimming pool includes ample space for children and adults alike to enjoy a day at the pool.  A 12' - 14' water slide will provide hours of fun while aqua aerobics classes, swimming lessons, lap swim, birthday party rentals and special events would be offered.
