Volunteer Positions available
We invite you to make a difference in your community by volunteering with Bennett Park & Recreation District. Assistance is needed in adult and senior programs, programs for youth athletics, and special events.
Instructors ~ FitnessInstructors are under the general supervision of the Recreation Coordinator. This position is responsible for the design and implementation of fitness classes and programs. Instructors will be expected to work the schedule according to Fitness programming times. Instructors are expected to:
DO YOU NEED EXPERIENCE? WILLING TO TEACH HERE? WE WANT YOU!!! -Be responsible for the leadership, planning, preparation, supervision, and instruction of assigned classes. -Demonstrate safe and effective exercises for both general and special groups. -Maintain continual education in current methods of fitness instruction thru an accredited source -Perform high level cardiovascular activity as well as resistance and stretching exercises for all major muscle groups. -Must be able to adapt exercise intensity to meet the needs of participants and recognize contraindicated exercises. -Work in an upbeat and positive environment using innovative ideas to assist participants in reaching their personal goals. -Attend staff trainings and meetings regularly as required. Certifications: Current Group Fitness Certification from an accepted national certifying organization and must be maintained through Continuing Education Credits (CECs) as required. Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED required. First Aid certification preferred. Hours: This is a part-time, nonexempt position. Mornings and evenings available. Certified Personal TrainerMust be able to work with a variety of ages, including seniors. Some fitness classes include ages 20 to 60+

Certifications: Current Group Fitness Certification from an accepted national certifying organization and must be maintained through Continuing Education Credits (CECs) as required. Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED required. First Aid certification preferred. Hours: This is a part-time, nonexempt position. Mornings and evenings available.
