Move through seated and standing yoga poses to increase flexibility, balance and range of motion. A chair is used to meet a variety of fitness levels.

Wake up your mind and body with this morning yoga practice. Sunrise yoga will combine vinyasa flows and held postures to increase balance, flexibility and strength. All levels including beginners are welcome.

PiYo combines the strength training—and body lengthening—aspects of Pilates with the core training and stretching elements of yoga to create an entirely new workout experience. It's low impact and adaptable to all ages and fitness levels. Unlike traditional Pilates and yoga sessions, PiYo is set up like a cardio class, designed to burn calories and make you sweat.

Who would have thought I would be teaching exercise classes in Bennett, Colorado? Not me! I am just as surprised as you all! I love my job and I love the folks who come to the Rec more! We have fun in SilverSneakers Classic, Yoga and Tai Chi. I have loved power lifting and weight training all my life. I absolutely adore the water. I love being of service to such a great community of people. Between teaching classes, swimming lessons, silent auctions, Small Business Saturday, casino trips and Friday morning coffee; you all keep me busy!! I have no other place that I would rather be. This is my home, my love and I appreciate each and every one of you that chooses to share some of your time here, at BPRD.

Greetings! I am Elizabeth. I have lived in Bennett for the last 12 years. I am raising my boys here and I love teaching water aerobics. I am an accountant in the day, full time mom, and part time water fitness instructor. We have a great community and we have fun in the night time water aerobics class. Come join us Monday and Wednesdays from 5-6 PM for a guaranteed fun time!

Hello corridor friends! I am Melanie Benitez. I am a happy wife and proud mother of 4. I am a Bennett grad and a proud community member. I have been teaching dance fitness for 12 years! I absolutely love combining my passion for dance with fitness. My goal is to create a very challenging, fun, and safe workout class. I love helping women build self-confidence through group fitness. My classes are diverse in age and fitness background, and I want everyone to feel welcomed! My class combines cardio and strength training with aerobic, kickboxing, and dance moves to make for an effective workout! Come dance with us :)
Scott Noble (Sunrise Yoga)
Scott first started doing yoga 24 years ago. Since then, he has practiced multiple styles of yoga. Additionally, he has taught yoga for more than two years in various settings. Scott has lived on the Eastern Plains for the past four years and is excited for the opportunity to help bring yoga back to the Bennett Rec Center and to make it approachable and enjoyable for both experienced and new students.
Vikki Katchen (Nifty 50's Aqua)
Hi! I am Vikki and I have been doing water aerobics for the last 24 years. I am also certified to teach SilverSneakers Yoga Stretch and MSROM. I am retired so I like filling in to help out other instructors and I love working out in the water because it is so good for your body. Come join me Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8-9am to work out in the water, feel good, and improve your quality of life.
