Bennett Park and Recreation District is proud to participate in the Colorado Association Recreational Athletics Program (CARA)
 
The C.A.R.A. Philosophy ~
The C.A.R.A. program was created and designed to be a program for the non-ranked, non-sanctioned participant and focuses on the recreational aspect of swimming and diving teams.  Competition does have its place in the program however it must be emphasized that the competitive nature is of secondary importance. The primary objective is the development of skills and sportsmanship, while encouraging all participants to do their best and assuring each swimmer and/or diver experiences some degree of success.

Swimmers can participate in the following events:  50 Butterfly, 25 Butterfly, 200 Medley Relay, 100 Medley Relay, 50 Freestyle, 25 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke, 25 Backstroke, 200 Freestyle relay, 100 Freestyle Relay, 50 Freestyle Relay, 50 Breaststroke, 25 Breaststroke,  200 Individual Medley, & 100 Individual Medley

Age groups for swim team: 8 and under, 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under, & 18 and under. 
(competitions will be according to age groups) 

Practices:   Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00pm –6:30pm

February 8 - May 5, 2022. NO PRACTICE SPRING BREAK.

Fees do not include swim accessories (suit, cap, & goggles)
DISCOUNTS apply to parent volunteers. Please see customer service desk for details
